Editorial Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This page explains how the Recipespalette Editorial Team researches, writes, reviews, and updates the content on Recipes Palette, and how we choose the products we recommend.

Our Standards

  • Helpful first: every article should answer a real cooking question or solve a real problem.
  • Accurate: measurements, times, and temperatures are checked before publishing.
  • Safe: food safety guidance follows trusted public sources such as USDA FoodSafety.gov and the FDA.
  • Clear: instructions are written in plain language so beginners can follow them.
  • Honest: we do not make health, nutrition, or product claims we cannot support.

How Recipes and Guides Are Made

A team member researches the topic and drafts the recipe or guide, working through the method step by step. An editor then reviews the article for accuracy, clarity, and safety. Where results depend on equipment, such as different rice cooker models or oven types, we say so and explain how to adjust.

Nutrition information, when shown, is an estimate calculated from the listed ingredients and may vary with brands and portion sizes. It is not medical or dietary advice.

How We Choose Products

Some articles recommend kitchen tools, cookware, or ingredients. When we choose products, we look at:

  • How well the product does the specific job the article is about
  • Build quality, materials, and ease of cleaning
  • Size and capacity for typical households
  • Manufacturer specifications and safety information
  • Patterns in verified customer feedback, including common complaints
  • Overall value for the price range

We only describe a product as personally used or tested when a team member has actually used it. Otherwise, our recommendations are based on research and the criteria above, and we say so.

Affiliate Links and Independence

Recipes Palette is reader-supported. Some links on our site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Commissions do not decide which products we include or how we rank them. Brands cannot pay to be recommended in our editorial articles. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled as sponsored. Read the full Affiliate Disclosure & Disclaimer.

Product prices and availability change often. Always check the current price and details on the retailer’s website before buying.

Use of AI Tools

We may use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help with tasks such as outlining, grammar checks, or formatting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by the team before publishing, and the team is responsible for everything we publish.

Updates and Corrections

We review published articles regularly and update them when information changes, when we improve a recipe, or when readers point out a problem. If you spot an error, please tell us through our Contact page or at contact@recipespalette.com. We review every correction request and update the article if a change is needed.
